Farnham Town welcomes PassEntry as new ticket partner

Farnham Town are pleased to announce PassEntry as the Club’s new ticket partner, as we take our first steps towards digitalising our ticketing system. In addition, we are announcing an Early Bird Season Ticket offer for fans to book their tickets to all of our home league fixtures in 2024/25 – our first-ever campaign at Step 4.

Since our Club’s inception, all matchday tickets and season tickets have been physical. Currently, all matchday tickets are purchased at either of our two turnstiles. Season ticket holders are also required to enter through the same turnstiles.

We’re very aware of the issues that come from this, as often there are lengthy queues around kick-off times as fans try to pour into The Memorial Ground. At times, these queues have extended onto Mead Lane and can leave fans arriving late to the ground facing upwards of a 10-15 minute delay to get through the turnstiles for our busiest fixtures.

EARLY BIRD SEASON TICKET OFFER: Adults – £110, Concessions – £70.

Season Ticket guarantees entry to all of Farnham Town’s 2024/25 home league fixtures, as well as all of our home pre-season fixtures this summer. Does not include Cup fixtures. U16s will still be free entry when accompanied by an adult.

Over the last two seasons, our average home attendance has increased by over 150%, as just shy of 500 fans come and support the Town on average every home game, and we expect this number to continue to increase next season and beyond.

As a Club, we’ve made a number of significant developments to help account for and cater for the bigger gates we get. Tripling our draught beer pumps to 12 around the venue, including a pitchside bar, to serve drinks faster. The Mystery Kitchen has allowed us to serve twice as many hot meals. Most notably, the installation of two new covered stands, one seated, and one stepped, which can account for around 400 more fans. We built and added a second turnstile last summer, but we acknowledge that more can be done around this.

So, the first step we’re taking to remedy this is by working with PassEntry to make all season tickets digital and introducing digital matchday tickets which can be bought in advance of arriving at The Memorial Ground via our online Club Shop. We believe this solution will help move the Club forward and further modernise us.

Through working with PassEntry, all digital tickets once purchased can be downloaded and stored in your phone wallets as an NFC pass which can be scanned by readers at the turnstiles, allowing you entry. This process should take less time and get fans through the turnstile quicker than each person having to buy a ticket at the gate every time.

We will be encouraging everyone who plans to attend our games to pre-purchase their tickets via the online Club Shop so that they ensure themselves the smoothest possible entry. That said, match tickets will still be able to be purchased at the turnstiles at every game. As always, U16s will remain free to enter when accompanied by an adult.

Digital season tickets will auto-update in your mobile wallets after every game, providing the match details for the next home fixture including opponent and kick-off time. Push notifications can be issued to all digital ticket holders updating you with key match information as well so you’re always in the loop, all managed by the team at PassEntry.

As mentioned at the top, we are announcing an Early Bird Season Ticket offer for our fans to take advantage of. Running until July 1st, adults can secure a season ticket for just £110, with those eligible for a concessions ticket (Over 65s, Disabled, & Students) able to get theirs for only £70. This will secure your entry to all of our home league games this coming season, as well as all of our summer pre-season home fixtures. Cup games are not included.

For adults, buying an Early Bird Season Ticket means your price of entry to all of our home games next season works out as ~45% cheaper than if you were to buy a ticket upon arrival at every game.

Looking ahead, the Club are exploring plans to install a third, digital-only turnstile towards the south side of the ground in the coming months, further alleviating the congestion sometimes experienced at the current entrance, as well as rewarding fans who bought their tickets ahead of time with a swifter entry.

Club Director Harry Hugo said: “The ticketing system is perhaps the only area of the Club we’ve not addressed in the last two years. I’m a firm believer that by introducing a digital ticket system will reduce queues and help fans get into the ground faster than they have been. The team at PassEntry have been working with us for a while to get this system in place and we’re excited to roll it out for the new season.”

Nico Cary, CTO of PassEntry, said: “We are excited to partner with Farnham Town FC to bring a modern, efficient, secure ticketing solution to Farnham’s supporters.”

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to enhancing the matchday experience and providing our fans with the best possible experience.” said Harry Hugo, Director of Farnham Town FC.

“PassEntry is dedicated to supporting Farnham Town FC in delivering a superior experience to their loyal fanbase. We look forward to a successful partnership and to further innovations in the digital ticketing landscape” said Josh Shepherd, COO of PassEntry.
