Farnham Town confirm Howden as Women’s Front of Shirt partner

Farnham Town are delighted to confirm that Howden Insurance will be the Club’s front-of-shirt partner for our Women’s team in 2024/25.

Back in March, we announced plans to revive the Farnham Town Women’s team from the 2024/25 season, and everyone associated with the Club is excited to watch that come to fruition later in the year when the new league season gets underway after officially been allocated our league place last week in the Surrey Premier League, which is Tier 7 of the Women’s pyramid.

In recent years, Howden have been a valued Club partner, supporting our growth both on and off the pitch, and this summer we’re excited to welcome them back as the headline partner of our Women’s team.

As a local insurance broker, not only do Howden focus on understanding clients and the specifics of their insurance needs, to find the insurer that’s best placed to provide the cover, but they also act as a force for good, supporting local people and the causes that matter to them.

This year, Howden’s Farnham branch has teamed up with the Club to run a book exchange that helps local children to keep playing the sport they love by exchanging second-hand sports equipment for replacements, such as football boots, shin pads and much more. If you would like to donate, collect or exchange sports equipment for a good cause, visit the Farnham Branch at 18 West Street, GU9 7DR.

Chris Biggs, Branch Manager at Howden Farnham, said: “At Howden, one of our core principles is Collective Power, which emphasises how all our individual talents can be combined to deliver the best results. We’re therefore delighted to be sponsoring Farnham Town Women’s FC, a group of skilled players who combine their sporting talents to play as a united team and meet any challenge on the pitch.

“We’re proud of our partnership, which reflects our support of women’s sports, fostering a culture of inclusivity and nurturing local talent. We hope that seeing a competitive team on the pitch will inspire even more young girls to take up football – and anyone in need of boots is welcome to pop into branch to collect a pair through our exchange scheme!”

Ed Kelsing, Club Director at Farnham Town, said: “We’re thrilled to announce Howden as the new front-of-shirt partner for our Women’s team. Over the years, Chris and the team at Howden have been great supporters of what we’ve been trying to achieve at Farnham Town.

“This year, we’re bringing back to the Women’s team and are in need of partners to help deliver on that vision. Howden’s core values align with ours and we’re very thankful that they’ve taken the opportunity to spearhead the support for the Farnham Town Women in 2024/25!”
