Farnham Town confirm the return of striker Adam Liddle from Kingstonian

Farnham Town are pleased to announce the return of striker Adam Liddle from Isthmian South Central rivals Kingstonian.

The 24-year-old striker was a vital part of the Club’s success last season as we secured promotion to Step 4 for the first time in our history after winning the Combined Counties Premier Division South without losing a single league game.

Liddle was one of eight players last season to supply at least 25 goal involvements en route to our historic invincible campaign, scoring 17 goals and providing eight assists across his 36 appearances for the Club after arriving from Hayes & Yeading United in August 2023.

In May, we announced that Liddle would be leaving the Club to seek a new challenge and joined up with Kingstonian following their relegation to the Isthmian South Central and has impressed for the K’s during their pre-season preparations.

The opportunity came about for Liddle to make a return to The Memorial Ground and the striker was eager to complete the switch ahead of the new campaign to help the Town in their efforts to compete in the Isthmian South Central.

Manager Paul Johnson said: “Lids was massive for us last season. We made a strong push for him to sign last August from Hayes & Yeading, coming down from Step 3 to play Step 5, and he showed his quality as we ran away with the league title. We were disappointed with his decision to move on after the season as he was someone who was originally in our plans, but he left with our best wishes.

“He went away to Kingstonian and played well in pre-season, but I don’t think he was enjoying it there as much as he enjoyed his football with us last season. We know what he brings, he knows the system and we know his quality. We felt we were in need of another body in attack and I’m looking forward to working with Lids again this season.”

Liddle joins up with the squad immediately and will be in contention to feature in our league opener away at Badshot Lea on August 10th.
