Farnham Town are delighted to confirm the arrival of central midfielder Ben Purcell from Southern League Premier South side Bracknell Town.
The highly-rated 20-year-old midfielder came through the academy system at Reading, spending 12 years with the Club before announcing his departure this past summer and joining the Robins where he’s been a regular feature this season, appearing in nine of their 15 games across all competitions.
Prior to joining Bracknell Town this summer, Ben did spend time on loan in non-league football, first with Hartley Wintney and then Farnborough, both during the 2022/23 campaign on one-month loans respectively. He’s also represented his country, Wales, at U15, U18 and U19 level.
Ben becomes the second in-season arrival from the Robins following in the footsteps of striker Great Evans who made the move back in September.
Sitting on top of the Isthmian South Central table, we’re determined to cement our position in the league by continuing to look for opportunities to bolster the squad and everyone at the Club is looking forward to welcoming Ben into the fold.
Ben will wear the No.23 shirt for the Town and has been registered in time for our trip to Harrow Borough this weekend.
