The Club can confirm that goalkeeper Pat Nash has been recalled by his parent club, Aldershot Town, this week.
Despite an agreement between the two sides that was in place to see Pat spend the full 24/25 season at Farnham Town, the Shots notified the Club of their decision to recall Pat at the start of the week, with the intent to send him back out on loan to another team higher in the football pyramid.
We were surprised and disappointed in receiving the request from Aldershot to recall Pat, given the context of what had been agreed at the start of the season, but would like to thank Pat for his efforts with the Club, not just over the last three months whilst on loan, but over the last 20 months since he first arrived at the Club in March 2023 where he’s become a true fan favourite.
Yesterday was Nash’s final appearance for the Town during this loan spell, where he made an important penalty save en route to a vital clean sheet in a 1-0 away win at Harrow Borough.
Since making his loan return on the opening day of the league season at Badshot Lea, Pat made 15 appearances this season, keeping eight clean sheets. Across two spells with the Club, he made 77 appearances for the Town, tallying 64 wins and 40 clean sheets and helped the Club to their triumph in the 22/23 Southern Combination Cup as well as playing every minute in our Invincibles campaign last season, securing promotion to Step 4 for the first time ever.
We wish Pat all the best with the next step of his football journey and he’ll always be welcomed back to the Club with open arms.
