Farnham Town are delighted to announce the arrival of defensive midfielder Imran Uche from National League South outfit Aveley.
The 25-year-old is a player familiar to Paul Johnson and his management team, having spent the 2019/20 campaign under their tutelage at Bedfont Sports where his impressive performances in the Isthmian South Central earned him a move to Hampton & Richmond Borough in the National League South, making 27 appearances for the Beavers in 2021/22.
Uche spent the following campaign with Billericay Town in the Isthmian Premier Division where he made 30 appearances, scoring twice before returning to Step 2 with Eastbourne Borough in July 2023. He appeared 27 times, scoring once for Eastbourne during the 2023/24 season.
This past season, Imran spent the early months of the campaign with Rayners Lane in the Isthmian South Central, but returned to the National League South with Aveley where he made 27 appearances between November 2024 and April 2025.
A midfielder by trade, Uche can also operate in a defensive role and brings excellent size and experience to the squad ahead of our first-ever campaign at Step 3 level.

Manager Paul Johnson on Uche: “I know Imran pretty well from when he was at Bedfont with us and a few of the lads we have here at Farnham already. It was clear that he would go on to have a strong Non-League career and that’s what he’s done over the last five or six years.
“We wanted to bring in players who knew the level we’re at and had experience higher in the pyramid as well, and Imran ticks both of those boxes. At 6 foot 5, he’s a big lad in the middle of the park who will break up play and be a shield for our defence, but he’s also a very technical player and strong on the ball. I’m pleased we’ve been able to add him to our group.”
Chairman Harry Hugo added: “Adding physicality to the squad this summer was a point of emphasis for us as we know moving up the levels, the standard of athleticism and ability jumps dramatically. Imran is of a great age where he’s got excellent experience at National South level, but also at 25, he’s still developing as he enters his prime years.
“Capable of playing in midfield or defence, he’s going to be a huge asset for us and was someone we targeted very early on after the season finished. I’m thrilled we were able to get him over the line with other clubs sniffing around, and I look forward to working with him this season!”
Uche becomes the Club’s third new arrival of the summer, following the signings of Tom Leggett from Salisbury and Brandon Mason from St Albans City, and will wear the No.17 shirt this season.
