Everyone at Farnham Town is thrilled to announce that we have been drawn at home in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the 2025/26 Emirates FA Cup against National League side Sutton United. The fixture will be taking place on Saturday October 11th.
We look forward to renewing acquaintances with our friends at Sutton United and hope to return their favour of their excellent hospitality when we travelled to Gander Green Lane for a Surrey Senior Cup fixture two seasons ago.
Enjoying our best-ever run in the competition in our 119-year history, we’re aware that the visit of Sutton United will be remembered as one of the biggest fixtures in Farnham Town‘s history, and we are excited to have the opportunity to earn a place in the First Round Proper next month.
Such a fixture brings with it some new logistical challenges for us to deal with, but we’re confident in delivering a fun, entertaining and safe afternoon’s football for the fans in attendance.
We anticipate there will be a huge demand for tickets, therefore we will be operating a staggered release of tickets for this fixture. Additionally, there will not be any tickets made available for purchase on the day at the turnstiles. All tickets will need to be purchased in advance of arrival, via our website, while available.
Farnham Town Season Ticket Holders will receive exclusive access to purchasing their tickets first, with their purchasing window opening from Wednesday, October 1st at 11am. This exclusivity window will run for two days, and Season Ticket Holders will be contacted directly about how they can access tickets for purchase. Statement from Chairman Harry Hugo in regards to this fixture:
“I’m as thrilled as anyone to be welcoming Sutton United to The Memorial Ground in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup. It’s about as exciting a tie as we could’ve imagined before the draw was made. I’m sure Paul Johnson, his staff and his players are going to put up one hell of a fight against National League opposition.
“As Chairman, I’ve been very vocal about our efforts around keeping football affordable in this day and age, and I’m very aware that for this one-off fixture, we are slightly increasing ticket prices above our norm and what fans are accustomed to.
“Please be assured that this decision was made purely with the interest of improving the matchday experience for the fans we look forward to welcoming for this fixture. The additional ticket revenue will be going directly towards an increased security presence to ensure the safety of the fans on the day, additional food and drink outlets to reduce queue times so fans miss less of the action – including a specified fan zone for away supporters, and additional hospitality staff to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible!
