Jack Dean pens new contract until 2027

Farnham Town is delighted to announce that defender Jack Dean has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with the Club that ties him down until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Since making the bold decision to drop the levels and leave Bracknell Town for us in the summer of 2023, Jack has been a mainstay in the side as the Club has enjoyed its greatest sustained period of success in it’s 119-year history, making 79 appearances in a little over two years, with 25 goal contributions in that span as well, proving to be a difference maker at both ends of the pitch.

Jack has also emerged as a real leader in the side, and was named the new Vice Captain for the 2025/26 campaign, our first-ever at Step 3 level.

With strong family ties to the Club and the area, with his brother Owen also at Farnham, Jack is a player we want to continue to build around as we progress in the next couple of years, and we’re thrilled that he’s agreed to terms to stay with us until the end of next season.

Manager Paul Johnson comments: “Jack’s been a huge contributor to our success over the last two seasons. I have a huge amount of trust in him, his ability and his leadership to continue being an important player for us in the years ahead.

“Fans that come to The Memorial Ground every week always speak highly of Jack’s commitment and work rate down that right-flank – it’s a massive asset to us. I’m really pleased today that Jack’s committed his future to us.”

Chairman Harry Hugo adds: “I love Jack Dean. He embodies everything I want a Farnham Town player to be. He’s got a relentless work ethic, he’s dedicated, and he’s got a team-first mentality. Oh, and he’s a bloody good footballer.

“At Farnham, we always have tried to reward the players who have shown a commitment to us and the journey we’re on. Jack took a leap of faith to come and join us and I’d like think he’s been rewarded with two years of football he’ll never forget. Now, I’m looking forward to the next two years, and hopefully more.”
