Club Statement: Martin Wareham

Farnham Town can confirm that Martin Wareham has stepped down from his position as Women’s First Team Manager.

Citing personal reasons, Martin informed the Club of his position and tendered his resignation earlier today, which the Club has accepted.

The Club would like to put on record their thanks and admiration for the job Martin has done since joining Farnham Town in May 2024 as manager of our newly-formed Women’s team that re-entered the league system ahead of the 2024/25 season.

In his first season in charge, Martin steered Farnham Town Women into the Adobe Women’s FA Cup First Round Proper, a feat that was matched this past season also, as well as securing promotion into Step 6 of the Women’s Football Pyramid – the highest-level the Club’s ever reached.

Martin leaves the Club with our women atop of the Southern Region Division One South table with seven wins from seven games so far in the 2025/26 campaign.

Captain Anya Kinnane steps in to lead the team on an interim basis with Emma Mutch supporting, while Ben Pack and Jack Steele will continue in their positions as Assistant Manager and First Team Coach respectively.

We will be looking to hire a successor and details regarding applications for the vacant Women’s First Team Manager position will be revealed in due course.
