Farnham Town are thrilled to announce the signing of midfielder Mark Waters from Isthmian Premier Division side Kingstonian. The 28-year-old will wear the #4 shirt for The Town.
Waters enjoyed a successful 2022/23 campaign with Hanwell Town, earning himself a move to fellow Step 3 side Kingstonian in the summer where he has captained the Ks this season, scoring twice in 34 appearances throughout the 2023/24 campaign.
He’s no stranger to The Memorial Ground, having skippered Kingstonian in their Surrey Senior Cup third round clash away at The Town earlier in the month where he impressed in vain as Ks were knocked out of the competition following a 3-1 defeat, with goals by Lewis Flatman, Harry Cooksley and Adam Liddle sending Farnham into the quarter-final.
The midfielder has a wealth of experience further up the league pyramid, having also spent two seasons with Tooting and Mitcham United prior to joining Hanwell Town in the summer of 2022.
Mark will join the squad immediately with a view towards potentially making his debut on Tuesday night at home to Jersey Bulls. We’d like to thank Kingstonian for their co-operation in having this move finalised swiftly.
