Farnham Town confirm the departure of Adam Liddle

Farnham Town can confirm that striker Adam Liddle has decided to leave the Club following the end of the 2023/24 season.

The 24-year-old striker was a late addition to the squad after a busy summer of recruitment, arriving on the 31st of August in a transfer from Hayes and Yeading United of the Southern League Premier South.

Liddle made his debut off the bench in the 2-1 FA Cup Second Qualifying Round defeat to Chesham United before becoming a mainstay in the starting lineup. He featured in 36 of the 39 Combined Counties Premier Division South, FA Cup and FA Vase fixtures he was eligible for following his arrival at The Memorial Ground, including 29 starts.

In those games, Liddle way a key contributor to the Town’s success throughout the season. He netted his first goal on his first start for the Club in an 8-0 win over Millbrook in the FA Vase Second Qualifying Round and also scored in the Second and Third Round wins over Snodland Town and Burnham respectively as Farnham recorded their joint-best ever run in the competition.

His 17 goals and eight assists this campaign helped us en route to our 25 successive league wins to start the campaign, which remains the most any team has managed from the start of a league season in the English football league pyramid ever.

Farnham Town would like to express our best wishes to Adam as he continues his football journey elsewhere. We hope and look forward to welcoming you back to The Memorial Ground as a fan one day.
